On the day networking

We take care to facilitate on-the-day networking by building ample time into the programme between conference sessions. It is our great pleasure to host 2 evening receptions at every Cool Logistics Global to provide maximum opportunity to connect with other perishable logistics professionals.

Back by popular demand! The Icebreaker Reception returns to the Novafresh cold store on Monday 24 September 2012 but this year with a 'hot twist'. Details to follow shortly.

Cool Logistics Global 2011 receptions

Warm smiles filled the Novafresh cold store for a networking evening with a post-industrialist twist on the well-established Cool Logistics Icebreaker Reception. Sharing the space with barrels of honey, lit up by the lights from nearby forklift trucks, the event was hosted in an ambient room surrounding a striking sushi bar centrepiece. Delegates, eager to exchange ideas after the informative DP World Terminal tour, capitalised on the opportunity to talk over freshly-made fish dishes and local Belgian Beer.  With additional support from foodcareplus, the evening sparked a spirit of collaboration among the attendees which set the tone for the rest of the conference.

The convivial atmosphere carried forward to the following evening when the Port of Antwerp hosted the Official Cool Logistics Welcome Reception on board De Ark, a former floating theatre moored in the renovated historic harbour area to the north of the city. Attendees, enjoying wonderful views over the port at sunset, were welcomed by Luc Arnouts, Chief Commercial Officer, Port of Antwerp, marking the end to an extensive first conference day at Cool Logistics Global 2011.
