Port of Hamburg Marketing promotes the overall interests of the Port of Hamburg and the surrounding metropolitan region both at home and abroad. As the first and central contact for port customers from around the globe, the organisation provides reliable information about the capacities of Germany's biggest seaport. Port of Hamburg Marketing cooperates closely with relevant authorities and institutions, such as the Ministry for the Economy and Labour, Hamburg Port Authority and Hamburg Marketing, to present the Port to customers in a coordinated fashion. The organisation is supported by ten representative offices in Germany and abroad, which handle customer relationship management and marketing activities in the core markets. The Global Institute of Logistics is a multi-stakeholder, cross-industry, not for profit organization, concerned with the development and proliferation of best practice in the global supply chain. The Institute actively works with all stakeholders towards optimizing visibility through the promotion of a collaborative culture between all parties, enhanced by ongoing benchmarking within the various nodes.
