Alan Robertson is the Director and Owner of Webster Robertson Ltd, based in Kent, UK. He specialises in providing consultancy and special services for the container sector of the maritime industry.

Mr. Robertson formed Webster Robertson Ltd in 2006 following a 5 year period as Senior Director, Container Supply at CP Ships, where he significantly improved the profitability of the business by developing logistics plans, and driving forward cost efficiencies in the container fleet operation. The role included direct responsibility for global empty positioning and container leasing procurement

Prior to joining CP Ships, he spent 22 years with the P&O Nedlloyd Group, working in trade management, UK inland operations, global equipment management and reefer business planning. During his time with P&O Nedlloyd, he held senior positions including General Manager and International Container Manager. From 1999-2001, he was also Managing Director, Cambridge Refrigeration Technology.

Mr. Robertson is a graduate of the University of Cambridge and is also a Director of a group ownership business in Devon.
