Andy Smith, vice president of products for Purfresh, joined the company in 2007. Under his direction, the company successfully introduced Intellipur®, the produce industry’s next generation informatics software. Mr. Smith is currently working with the USDA, University of California, Davis, and University of Florida on multiple projects, and recently served on the board of directors for the Center for Food Safety, University of Georgia. He has been featured in business and produce industry publications, and is frequently a guest speaker at conferences around the world.

Mr. Smith held a variety of management positions for SAP, Virsa Systems, and Tyco International before joining Purfresh. He earned a master’s in business administration from Santa Clara University, and holds a certification in production and inventory management from the American Production and Inventory Control Society.
