James Taeckens is a senior product manager for Carrier Transicold Container Products Group, the global leader in container refrigeration systems and generator sets. Carrier Transicold is a division of Carrier Corp., a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX). 

Based in Syracuse, N.Y. since 2005, Mr. Taeckens is involved in product development, including the recent introduction of PrimeLINE™, a container refrigeration unit designed to reduce environmental impact and lifecycle cost through exceptional efficiency. He is also responsible for refrigerant strategy and the advancement of EverFresh™, the leading controlled atmosphere refrigeration unit in the industry.   

Prior to his current position, Mr. Taeckens was responsible for identifying and launching new products for the Aftermarket division at Visteon Corporation of Dearborn, Mich. In addition, he spent several years at Ford Motor Company and AT&T Istel LTD.  He holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan.
