Luca Bussani has been employed by Zurich Insurance since 2008 as Risk Engineer managing marine and goods in transit risks; his involvement includes hazard analysis, risk assessments and post-loss investigations.

Before joining Zurich, Mr. Bussani worked in the UK as Transportation Risk Manager for ACE European Group specializing in the areas of loss prevention, security and marine cargo risks, after having worked in freight forwarding and logistic both in the UK and Italy. 

Mr. Bussani has over ten years experience in the areas of logistic and marine insurance. After starting in the commercial and operational areas in the field of freight forwarding, he subsequently worked for the Lloyd’s agent in Trieste, where he was introduced to marine insurance and obtained the Lloyd’s Marine surveyor proficiency certificate.  He holds a post-graduate degree in Transport Law as well as Marine Accident Investigation certificate from the International Maritime Academy.
