Ole Schack Petersen has been with Damco since 6 April 2009. Based in Copenhagen, he is Director and Head of the global reefer logistics activities of Damco.

Mr. Schack Petersen comes from a position as CEO of LCL AB, Sweden, the NYK Group reefer logistics company where he worked from 2004 to 2008. Here, he was responsible for the global roll-out and expansion of the reefer logistics activity of LCL, which at that time belonged to Danish shipping and reefer specialist J. Lauritzen A/S.  

From 1996-2003 Mr. Schack Petersen held the position of Regional Manager South America for J. Lauritzen, where he oversaw reefer and container liner services, FFW, CFS, road haulage, port and terminals in countries including Chile, Brazil, Peru, Argentina and Uruguay. From 1991 through 1996 he worked in Brazil as General Manager of J. Lauritzen do Brasil Ltda, initiating the reefer vessel activities there.  

Mr. Shack Petersen joined J.Lauritzen for the first time in 1978 as a cadet at Kogtved seafaring college and again in 1982 after 3 years at commercial college, working in different operational and commercial management roles until being stationed abroad.  He has received a variety of management training from Insead, IMD and latest IESE, Barcelona.
