Palle Jørgensen is director and general manager of the Johnson Controls Global Container Efficiency organization, and is responsible for overseeing the company’s global activities in reefer container temperature control, tracking and condition monitoring.
Johnson Controls is the market leader in reefer container communications with a full range of products, systems and services aimed at improving the efficiency in container operation through tracking, remote monitoring and control. The Johnson Controls solutions are in operation with more than 750.000 reefer containers and are used by the vast majority of leading container shipping lines and operators, onboard container ships, at container terminals and on inland transportation.
Mr. Jørgensen joined Johnson Controls, then named Lanng & Stelmann, in 1992 and has more than 17 years of experience in the industry. Prior to joining Johnson Controls in 1992, Mr. Jørgensen had 9 years experience in design of electronic solutions for aerospace and naval applications. During this time, the product portfolio included various research projects for end customers ESA and Intelsat as well as submarine and combat vessel control equipment.
Mr. Jørgensen holds a BSc in electronic engineering, is a member of Danish Standards working group for container standardization, and has been an active participant in development of various ISO standards for container transportation through ISO TC104.
