Phillip graduated from St Andrews in 1997 having previously spent two years with Hertie AG in Germany. Hooked on retail Phillip then joined Marks and Spencer and has spent the last 13 years in a variety of commercial and project management roles. This included extensive buying in procurement areas and the implementation of Plan A (Sustainability Plan for foods). Currently Phillip is working as a Senior Buyer in Produce and on a project integrating new systems into the food business. Phillip is also an active member of the Chartered institute of purchasing and supply.
