As Regional Director of HPL for Europe & Africa at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics since October 2008, Ralf Heske is in charge of two of the most competitive markets in the reefer/ perishable logistics world.

His passion for logistics was developed during his time in the German Army, where he was in charge of supply and transport for one division. He joined Hellmann in 1996 and was soon enrolled on a special development programme for future senior management.

After working for Hellmann in several positions, Mr. Heske spent six years working directly for Mr. Jost Hellmann, one of the Managing Owners of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. Here, he gained a wider insight into the perishable arm of Hellmanns and subsequently took over the role as Product Manager Europe in July 2007.

Mr. Heske has held his current role since October 2008, reporting directly to the COO/ CEO of Hellmann Perishable Logistics. His credo is - if you want to have something you never had, you have to do something you never did.

Mr. Heske holds a degree in finance from the CoB in Hamburg and is a Mediator at Deutsches Schiedsgericht Logistik (http://www.schiedsgericht-logistik.de) in Germany.
